Join Me at DevOps++ Global Summit 2017 — Windows Automation with Ansible

Heading to DevOps++ Global Summit 2017 to talk about Windows Automation using Ansible. If you're managing Windows servers and haven't looked at Ansible for it yet, come by the session.

Most Ansible content assumes Linux. Understandable, but it leaves a gap for the many teams running Windows Server in production. WinRM configuration, PowerShell module management, IIS deployment, Windows service control — Ansible handles all of it, but the setup is different enough from Linux that it trips people up.

I'll be covering the practical bits: getting WinRM working reliably, writing playbooks for common Windows tasks, and the gotchas that the docs don't warn you about. See you at the conference.
